Sneasel made his way down the hallways and toward the commons where he had been told to go if he wanted to have a taste of beer.

He had only been in this school for about a week and already he felt he needed something to cool his mind. Too much shit was buzzing around up there, it got to the point where he couldn't here himself think... And what that new teacher, the Lt. Surge guy, had said to him hadn't helped at all.

Yes, a beer would be quite lovely right now.

He walked into the commons and gave a small wave to the two who were already inside.

"Hey guys, hope I'm not interrupting anything..."

((sorry for the trouble guys, thanks for letting me join in.))

((no worries lol))

Shadow nodded curtly to the newcomer, used his can once more to gesture at a couch for Sneasel to sit on, and finally cracked his open. He took a quick gulp without hesitating: bitter, cold, and jarring. But he could at least keep it down. Not bad for his first time drinking.

He turned his attention back to Falco. "I guess you could say that I've got... a lot of things on my mind these days. It's a long story, really; probably wouldn't make for great conversation."

I don't even know how much of it is true... but I can't believe Espio would have just given me random bullshit just like that. I can't.

Shadow took another sip of his beer, savouring the new experience. "A long story..."

Falco tossed another beer to the pokemon, then finished off his first can. One down, and nine left for drinking. He pulled off another beer for himself. "Pfft," he shrugged before popping open can number two, "neither does mine. But tell me anyway-I have time."

Sneasel sat down on the couch next to Shadow, but not very close. If it wasn't for the beer then he probably wouldn't even be here.

He caught the beer thrown in his direction and stared down at it for a moment. It had been well over a year since he last had a beer, and his last experience wasn't all too pleasant. At this point, however, he didn't care. He cracked of the can and took a smooth gulp.

He turned his attention toward the other two that where in the room with him. He smiled slightly. Perhaps listening to these two's conversation will help stop the buzzing in his head.

Shadow chuckled slightly, and slowly took a bigger gulp of his beer. It was almost finished by this point, but his throat felt a bit weird, and he didn't want to force it.

"I don't even know if I really know where to start... but I can tell you how things happened, I guess." Shadow thought back, as far as he could, into his own memories, but the haze was always there, always supplying him with vague remembrances of possible events and theoretical meetings... "I don't have any memory from beyond maybe two, three years ago. No real memory, anyway. Just shadowy, vague figures that don't really mean anything to me. And let me tell you man..." He mustered a bit of courage and drained his can, then crumpled it angrily in his fist.

"It fucking sucks."

Shadow was starting to feel the beer start to go to his head. He shook his head slowly, as if to clear the cobwebs building up around his mind, but he just felt mildly dizzy, and just as buzzed.

"You ever meet that Espio guy?"

Falco could relate, even if the story was different. His memories before the age of 8- when he began living on the streets-were fuzzy, and he could barely remember anything about his parents anymore aside from the fact that they had thrown him out for a reason only god knew.

The avian shifted to face his body towards Shadow, looking a little more intent on listening now. "Espio...? That purple chameleon guy, right?" Yes, Falco was sure that was his name; after all, Tor-Combusken had introduced the purple reptilian to him, and he did spend a good handful of minutes laughing at the poor guy, he wouldn't forget that so easily.
