Vulpix stood nervously in front of BE-4. Today was Thursday, the date for her arranged little date with her big crush. She looked down at herself, smoothing down the skirt of her dress. She hoped she didn’t look gaudy in what she was wearing; she was wearing a white and blue Sweet Lolita-type outfit, a present from her trainer before the school year, in case she needed anything to wear for something special. Perhaps this wasn’t what the girl had intended for the pokemon to use this outfit for, but still, it was something special to her, at least.

She gulped and knocked on the door.

Fox's ear twitched at the knocking. 'Wait, is this...oh snap!' Fox flopped out of bed, nearly falling flat on his face and rushed to get dressed in his usual attire. Going to a date in pajamas was not exactly proper. "Ju-just a sec!"

Vulpix blinked confusedly at the door, ears twitching at the sounds (was that a thud?) coming from the male vulpine’s room. “O-okay,“ she said as she smiled nervously at the door, waiting patiently for Fox to open the door.

Fox hastily fixed his hair, now fully clothed, and ran for the door (almost running INTO it) and opened it. He looked presentable, but his hair was a bit...off. Fox looked at Vulpix with a nervous smile. "Sorry about that, I was ah...doing some last minute arrangements, heh." His tail fur wasn't quite straight and looked a little messy. He wagged it around nervously.

Okay, so he looked a little messy in her opinion, but still, it was rather cute! Vulpix giggled at the boy’s slight disheveledness. “That’s alright,” she replied before nervously taking it upon herself to fix his hair with her hands. “There! That’s better,” she sang, face pinking. “Are you ready to go now?”

He chuckled a bit nervously, trying his hardest to hold back the obvious blush, but to no avail. She had a very gentle touch which Fox was rather fond of. "Y..yeah I'm ready!" This time he had time to look over Vulpix's outfit and was impressed. 'It seems like all the women I meet have good fashion sense. Certainly shows them off better!' he thought.

“Great!” The girl beamed and bounced in place. She was so excited, heart already beating at a quick rate. “W-well then, let’s go~” Vulpix said cheerfully before tentatively taking Fox’s hand to lead him out of the dormitory building, not that he needed it. After all, Fox had been there a year longer than she had been (which disappointed her, since that meant he would be graduating this year), but still… it felt like something she should do.

"Haha let's go!" Fox laughed at Vulpix's bubbly demeanor. He felt this won't be the first time he'll be dragged around, but he didn't mind particularly. He always figured that one day or another, some good woman was going to take him for a tour.

His mind went to thinking about Krystal, something he really didn't want to happen. And he knew why, after all he didn't commit to her or Vulpix. Nor did he think of that (even though he thought about it at this moment anyway). He had to give them both a chance and he also had to stop thinking he had the make a decision. It almost felt like paradox.

Fortunately, he was hungry, and this was enough to put his mind to food instead. He was sure to enjoy anything the place had. There generally wasn't any food he came across that he didn't like.

They cleared the school gates and headed down the street. So far, things seemed to be going well; no being approached by other students on the way out, no other kinds of impediments, and the weather was looking up, too. She smiled to herself in approval. So far, so good.

“So,” Vulpix began, “how have you been since Tuesday?” It hadn’t been that long ago since the last time they‘d seen each other, but still, it was a polite thing to ask. She tugged him to the right when they reached the intersection where Smashville Avenue and PictoChat Lane met. Almost immediately, there was a shift in scenery, and the hustle and bustle of Smashville became the quieter, but still lively PictoChat Lane.

Pictochat Lane was a standard 'arts and crafts' avenue. The creative district, it featured art shops and galleries, music stores, and even some publishing offices. Fox would joke about this place to his friends as a 'Beatnik Alley', even though it was really more a place for the younger Generation Y folk.

Fox didn't really think the place much for food, but it did have several nightclubs. He wasn't really into that sort of thing, though he could imagine some others he knew would go here ('Perhaps Katt?' he thought).

He turned to Vulpix and rubbed the back of his neck apologetically, "Well, there was the candy store Shabunga set up."

"I'm sorry I didn't really have the time to talk that day. I was...real busy." He even winced, recalling the mob of buyers, some not waiting in line properly. Even after the fact, Fox was still grumbly about Shabunga's leave, putting him alone to the customers.

She scratched her cheek and giggled sheepishly. Tuesday night at the candy store, ah… Even though she had been terribly disappointed, she completely understood, at least. There were dozens of them, after all, and Fox had been the only one manning the register… scroll… thing. It wouldn’t be fair to judge him on something he couldn’t really control.

Besides, there was still today. She still had the Lemon Drop Kiss candies Chansey had handed her in the store.

“It’s okay,” Vulpix replied, offering the boy an apologetic smile. “You were working, after all.” She then giggled, “You know, I never would’ve thought Shabunga-san of all people would be running such a cute candy shop~”

Fox chuckled a bit. "Same thing! I didn't think his...tastes were that...exotic." Shabunga was a weird one. He flicked an ear, remembering the candy Vulpix got him and took it out. "I didn't forget this! Thanks for the candy." He began to unwrap it and his sensitive nose smelled the sweet lemony scent.

At least he had remembered it! That made her feel better. “You’re welcome,” she smiled at him warmly, when the café came into view. It was a quaint little place set up on the corner of the artsy strip of PictoChat. “Oh, there it is~!” She pointed it out before excitedly dragging the male vulpine behind her, fan-like tails moving back and forth in excitement.

Fox laughed a little nervously; he didn't mind being dragged, but in public was another thing. Perhaps the two vulpines got more than enough stares. At least they were almost to a table, he thought, then he could settle down a bit. 'This girl certainly has unwavering spunk' he thought to himself.

By now, she was used to being stared at in public, whether it was from her being so pretty-What! It’s totally true, after all, and she wasn’t afraid to acknowledge it!-or because she has ears and six tails. One would think the people of Final Destination City would’ve grown used to the variety of species they got from the local high school, but alas… no.

There were two more tables outside that were empty, and thankfully, from the quick pace the girl had picked up, one was theirs. “Here we are!” Vulpix beamed brightly, standing next to the table and looking as though she were showcasing it like an item.

"It is a good looking table!" Fox gave a thumbs up to compliment Vulpix's contentment at it and took a seat. Fox was pleased that the chairs here had holes to allow for his tail to go through. He tucked his tail through and then leaned back the chair a bit as was his habit.

Vulpix took her seat at the table as well, settling in it all lady-like, just as her trainer had taught her after gaining a human form. She smoothed down her skirt before crossing her legs, then looked at the small flip-card menu on the table.

“It’s nice to be off campus sometimes, isn’t it?” She asked, idly flipping the pages of the menu. “It’s a very nice school, but very… hectic, and some of the people…” She frowned slightly, thinking of Green and his Charmeleon. “Anyway, it’s nice to take a break from the chaos, even if it’s only for a few hours, isn’t it?”

"Eh, it's hectic but after all these years you sorta get used to it." Fox did a casual shrug and looked at the menu. He wasn't above having sweets, he was eyeing in particular the choice of a cinnamon bun, something he hadn't had in a while.

"But I agree, it's great to have a change of scenery. The campus is big and yet it feels stuffy after a while, you know? Some people just wear things out for you." His ear flicked, looking for a beverage he wanted (that wasn't coffee, he wasn't a fan of it).

“Mm,” she nodded, “I agree whole-heartedly. There are many people who are nice at school, of course, and then there are people who are a bit, ah… tiring to deal with.” A sigh. She had had her own handful of troubles with stalkers before, but it was nothing a Confuse Ray couldn’t handle. Not to mention the recent troubles with some new arrivals…

Vulpix hmmed, trying to figure out just what she wanted. Everything looked so cute and yummy, how was she supposed to choose?

"I think I'll take a cinnamon bun. I hadn't had one in a while, they look tasty! At least as the picture says." Fox pointed to the picture on the menu and showed Vulpix.

She tilted her head cutely and leaned forward, peering at the picture of the bun Fox was pointing to. “Uwaa~” She looked up at him, eyes bright, “that looks really good! You have such good tastes, Fox-kun!” She sat back properly in her seat. “I think I’ll order one of those too, along with some tea.”

Fox chuckled nervously, "It's ah, just a cinnamon bun, heh." 'It doesn't look that tantalizing' he thought. He had to give her credit, she certainly is an excitable person. And it was a nice change of pace for him, as most people he met were usually mellow or wanted to punch his face in.

"I'll get a soda with my cinnamon bun then." He put down the menu and played around with a napkin.

“So I guess it’s settled, then!” The female vulpine smiled before waving a waiter over and relaying their orders to him.
