Of course, he wasn't going to be anywhere near Ganondorf. The guy was bad enough when Lighter was fully dressed.
So he decided to help with repairing the roof, up out of reach of the general public. It felt good to be doing a community project like this again.

Onix was the perfect height for roof work, especially when lumber and tools had to be transported to said roof. The giant Pokemon was very pleased to be doing his part, and also enjoying some fresh air for once.
So when Lighter least expected it, the rocky behemoth poked his head into the handyman's workspace, spitting out a few two-by-fours he was transporting from the ground onto the temporary scaffolding.

"...Uhhh." Lighter held his hand out tentatively, as though to try to pat Onix's nose. "Good work so far."

His trainer followed shortly after, ascending said giant stone monster thing quickly as if he were a cliff face. Brock clambered up onto the scaffolding, carrying a bucket. "I brought some more nails."

PONY TIME. She decided to do some of the heavy work first, being a GIANT FRIGGIN TIME DINOSAUR. ...Onix why are you still bigger than Dana. Sob. The Temporal pokemon snorted at the large rock snake and held the boards in her mouth, waiting for them to be taken by him to hand off. Cause that's how she rolls.

While Brock gawked, Onix got the hint and took the boards from her totally making out with Dialga in the process chyeah and, in turn, handed them off to his still-gawking trainer.
When the guardian of time said take the boards, you took the boards.

He took a moment to wipe some sweat from his brow, letting out a low whistle.
"So these're both... Pokeymans, right? Which students are they? It's hard to tell with lots of'em."

She was watching.
Always.

"Oh, uh. That's Dialga." He said, pointing out the giant blue dinosaur-pony. "You're a student, right, Dialga? And this is Onix. He's not a student." The rock snake responded with a growl in greeting before joining the other Pokemon in board-transport once more.
Then a pile of vines showed up. "Hey, Tangrowth." Brock smiled and turned back to lighter. "And this is one of Erika's Pokemon."

And the giant rock snake nodded as if to confirm this fact.

"Partners... Right, so you're part of this, uh, league thing, right? You make'em fight against each other? What kinda partnership is that?"

Fuel, when did you get here. Why are you butting into other people's conversations like that.
Oh well, they probably wouldn't mind, and this stuff was kind of interesting to him. He'd managed to piece together a little bit about this pokemon stuff, the league and it's workings and such, but all in all, the whole thing just confused him.
