Jupiter was about to arrive, Cyrus thought as he checked the clock on his computer. He was busy typing up next week's lecture, and would appreciate a sounding board for it. After the negative reaction to his last class, he refused to let that happen again.
Of course, there would always be those who opposed him on principle. But now he had his own diciplinarian to attend to that, so he was free to spend more time on education rather than punishment.
Which would be a relief. Slogging through tens of thousands of words in the essays he assigned was getting to be murder on his nerves, especially during his illness.
And she would ensure that he would never again make a mistake like he had the other night. That post was a hideous mar on his reputation, and he could not seem to get rid of it. He shuddered slightly at the memory of discovering it the next day.
But it was the past. "Look to the future," he said to himself with a bit of a smirk. "It will not last long."
He was about to continue typing when there was a knock at the door. Right on time.
