A man scorned and the woman who stood behind him. )
Yet all that history meant nothing tonight.
Tonight he was simply Ganondorf. Ganondorf the male Gerudo who was somewhat afraid and terrified of what might happen once Nabooru stepped into his room. What terrible cruel irony. There was always a small nagging voice in the back of his head that warned him about getting too personal with his second in command. Maybe he felt like he was restraining his freedom. Maybe he was afraid of how that could change his future. Their future.
Maybe he was simply afraid she'd only do it out of duty. He hadn't really had a relationship defined by...love before. He was a man of experience, sure. But this was a completely different ballgame, with so much at stake. It was enough to make even the heir of the Triforce of Power question his own motives.
Regardless, he did jump a little when she finally knocked. Like something was sealing his doom away. He felt like a fourteen year old student clutching a single, wilting flower. Now or never, right? He stepped up to the door and opened it.
"Hi."
Mentally, his mind was already removing a thousand points from him for such a crappy introduction. Good job.
