It could never honestly be said that Lighter was all that creative. Especially when it came to lesson plans but when the mention [or his roundabout vague tsun-tsun suggestion for a mention] of a joint class, Samus, almost entirely for the sake of doing something different decided to oblige. A note was left on her white board for her students as to where her BioMech class was being held this week...

In Wood Shop class.

"On your desks you'll find a box with various wind up clock parts." The blonde said. Much like the one pictured in the link provided only perhaps with with 90% more wood parts. "I've deliberately removed some of the parts from the box which you'll need to remake in order to complete the clock."

She looked to Lighter, that being more of his specialty. Making a few wooden gears to mesh in with the metal ones; that shouldn't be too hard, right?

"Every box comes with very simple instructions. If you can not follow them I will be very disappointed. He'll probably be very disappointed. You don't want to make us disappointed." Samus was probably going to be disappointed. "Lighter can better explain in more detail what exactly you need to build and how it should fit in the clocks."

"Once you complete the clocks you'll learn how they store energy to work." This is where Samus does her part; a boring lecture while bending over the chalk board and writing notes. "There are two different types of energy; potential [example: chemical, gravitational or electrical energy] or kinetic energy [example: thermal energy]. Windup clocks such as this use potential energy transferred from your hand that you wind up and store in the clock's accumulator. That's that windup spring in there that slowly releases the tension over a long period of time, and you'll hear the clock's distinctive tick as it does so."

Samus exchanged one last look with Lighter before shrugging, done with her notes. "If you don't have any questions, go to it."
