Characters: Rhys and all magic students
What: Magic class- and the use of tomes. \o/
Where: First the magic classroom, then the courtyard.
When: Friday the 18th of September.
Warnings: MAGICAL HAZARDS MAYBE. Don't expect any misconduct coming from Rhys. He's too holy.

"I will start with a demonstration," he begins. "Watch closely."

Rhys casts a Rexaura spell on a sandbag he borrowed from the Smash Fundamentals classroom. (Just like in this example of Rhys using Rexaura on Ike’s sister, only whoop, he gets his head handed to him (what a surprise)."That was a very complicated passage that is not at all designed for beginners, but it demonstrates what can come of practice in case you ever do want to be an experienced priest or priestess- light mages, even. I would love to demonstrate the full power of all magical elements, but sadly, I cannot. Just light for me. Some people can and can't do magic- some people have an inborn affinity for it, but others can always find it. Don't give up, please! You may surprise yourself ( ... )

Magic always fascinated Ulki; as a laguz, he would never be one to use magic in battle, but it was always quite the sight to see. Rhys' Light potential were astounding; his abilities seemed highly developed, even rivaled by the elite skills of Begnion's senators such as Oliver. Since Ulki had a slight allure to the spells, maybe... just this once, he would try his hand at some magic. But which?

"That was very good, Rhys," he started, approaching the man garbed in white. "Since you're teaching, I... er, this will sound strange. I was curious: which would you assume someone like me would be best at using?" Ulki assumed something like the Anima would do him well, but Rhys always made light look so enchanting.

Well, now. This revelation instilled Rhys with a newfound excitement. Laguz didn't use magic, but it was the fact that Ulki wanted to try it out that thrilled him.

"You... You want to learn how to use- ah! Of course, Ulki!" He snapped out of his shock to be a little more helpful to the hawk man. The cleric stood up from his seat at the fountain edge and stood face-to-face, a smile brightening his face. "I don't see why you can't have a try too. If I were to suggest anything for you, I would go for one of the Anima tomes. I told Princess Zelda it was up to preference, but I don't know many of the students well, and they could have all kinds of spiritual magnets. Have you seen what these students are capable of? It's simply astounding. That's why I can easily picture them using light or even dark magic." He brushed his bang a little further from his eye and renewed his smile. "That's why I think you should try an Anima spell. Which one do you fancy most?"

Rhys' initial stupor flustered Ulki ever so slightly, not liking to be fussed over in such a manner. Still, he would take up on the priest's suggestion, and thought it over momentarily, eyes drifting to the sky. "Perhaps... Thunder."

*After Selene moved from the Dark magic with no success in that field, she began to chant the spell for the Light tome. This one comes with much better success, and she winds up firing Light magic at the borrowed Sandbag.*

Oh! That's excellent! Did everyone see that? Wow, I'm impressed! That was quite good for someone who just picked it up.

Vashta couldn't help but feel drawn to this one. Even if Rhys had said that it wasn't really for beginners, it might be worth a shot...

For now, she stood by, waiting to see if anyone else had an interest in it.

[Tomes? TOMES!? Falcon needs no tomes. Who needs tomes when you have a freak hormone imbalance SHEER MANLINESS on your side?

But he's going to pretend to use the tome, maybe. Maybe. He kind of looks at it for a few minutes, decides enough is enough and then sets himself on fire and just kind of chills out with his arm in flames because you might as well stick with what you know.]
