Once Nester had paired off with Jake, he decided first that of course, they'd need to know what their robot would even be like. And... well, actually, he had no clue what to do from there. He wasn't fond of living robots (he's assuming these 'bots can just be non-working), so he didn't know anything about the process of how they're built.

"So, uhh, what now? Are we gonna start working on it yet or what?"

Jake was busy sketching something out. "I'm way ahead of you, bra," he said, turning his page around and showing Nester. "What do you think about this?"

Nester... stared. At first, he wasn't sure what to say, but something came out of his mouth anyway.

"What the HECK."

Was it just him, or did the red glowing eyes remind him of Meca Hawk? That was... unnerving. Obviously, though, Nester had not heard of Transformers.

But it was still freaky.

"Uhh, it's... kinda cool, but kinda freaky! Uhhhh. But... as long as it doesn't move, it'll be okay!" Probably. Here's to hoping these robots don't come to life.

"You wanna try making a design?" Jake offered helpfully.

And thus, Nester took the sketchbook out of Jake's hand, took his pen/pencil/whatever he was sketching with, flipped to a different, blank paper sheet, and drew.

"It's a Nester-bot! I know it's naked but so was Meca Hawk, so who cares." Nester stated matter-of-factly. "It looks a lot more handsome than that freaky... Bruce... thing!"

"But there's nothing better than this one!" Nester stuck his tongue out. "If we really HAVE to, we'll use your dumb robot design, but one day, I'm gonna build that Nester-bot in class and it'll be so much cooler."

And then, here is where they may or may not be building at least a little of the 'bot today. Or something I suppose. ((Whether or not this can be offscreen is up to Jeff?))

this robot design makes Apple Kid unhappy on a level that is difficult to describe.

The only robot Slippy ever built was ROB64 and ROB was only meant to serve as a pilot for the Great Fox so Mechas was new territory for the mechanic.

But nonetheless, he was enthusiastic over the entire project because come on, seriously!? Fighting robots! Who the heck doesn't get excited over the prospect of building giant fighting robots?

"Your name's Tails, right?" Slippy asked as he pulled out a large sheet of paper from his backpack along with some writing and measuring instruments. "My name's Slippy. It's nice to meet ya'."
