Robotnik stood in the center of the room, arms crossed behind his back as people started to arrive. "Welcome to POLITICAL SCIENCE!!" he greeted. "I have something SPECIAL planned this week! But first, a little lesson."
"In the political arena, to attain power, you need to possess certain things. Like capital, supporters, and support of MEDIA. There can be NO GREATER ADVANTAGE to a political candidate than to have those who report on them in the media on THEIR SIDE. Reporters, consultants, image management specialists... These all fall under two categories: SPIN DOCTORS, who bend and twist the truth in order to alter the public's perception of reality, and PUNDITS, whose very purpose is to pontificate about subjects that can be uplifting to the party or person they support, or damning to their enemies."
"With that context in mind, this week, we are going to COVER THE STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION!!" he declared. "These computers will feed you election results as they come in. These cameras will broadcast to closed circuit televisions throughout the school. I want you all to REPORT on this election. Give the facts. Bend the truth. Smear people you don't like. Just GET OUT THERE AND MAKE THE MEDIA YOUR MESSAGE!!!"
