Homecoming Dance (slightly foreward-dated?)

Characters: Anyone who found a date or decided to go anyway.
What: HOMECOMING DANCE!
Where: School's ... um... big open enclosed place, like a gym or an auditorium.
When: Friday, Nov. 7th, starting at 8pm. (Forward dated?)
Rating: PG, at best, since it's going to be chaperoned.

The lights cut for a brief moment, and when they turn back on again a few moments later, Sexkick is on stage, instruments in hand. Smoke slowly starts creeping out from behind the stage, and as Ganondorf slowly bends a microphone stand over his synth organ, he begins to mutter two words...

And the band begins to play.

Ganondorf was glad his voice sounded as low and gruff almonst most like Till Lindemann's as be went into the song's chorus, trying to keep up with both singing and playing his electric organ. It had seemed much easier during the practice sessions.

At least he hoped the rest of the crowd and the rest of the band was enjoying themselves. He was having a blast.

When the song was closing its end he purposefully let off a few blue pyrotechnics off for show.

Katt was having fun as usual, eyes scanning the crowd for her date. This was her first performance with a love interest in the audience, so she wanted it to go as well as possible.

For the final note, she jumped into the air and struck a pose.

Shadow grinned, enjoying the mood tonight, and satisfied that his band seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. "You're really going all out, eh Katt?" he mentioned as he reached back to the amplifier right behind him and took a quick drink of a suspicious-looking bottle resting on top.

"Maybe you'd like to lead us into the next one?"

Panther was watching the whole time, however before the performance began he had ran off for only a short moment. Why? As audience applauded and his date landed a pose a small bouquet of roses found its way on the edge of the stage.

Katt blushed when she saw Panther's bouquet. Perfect. She took the bouquet and placed it on her bass's amplifier, before blowing Panther a kiss.

Her motivation had reached its peak. Time to do a little showing off!

The kiss was returned with a quick wink before flashing another toothy grin for his lovely lady.

She was doing fantastic tonight already.

"YEEEAH!" Knuckles called from the crowd. He'd been looking forward to another Sexkick performance. He'd not gone to the election post-party and had been dissapointed to hear that he'd missed seeing them then.

Katt grinned and motioned for the band to start her song. This time, she'd be singing the lead part for the first time.

She leaned toward the microphone stand while playing the bassline, belting out the melody.

This would be her final 'fuck you' to the not-so-dearly departed Falco.

As she sang the song, she thought of her date in the audience, how much happier she was going to be now that things had changed for the better. A boy that she liked that treated her like a queen. A new band that she could let loose with. A roommate that, despite their differences, understood her on a basic level.

Despite what Katt thought before, she didn't need Falco. Hell, she didn't even like him anymore! He really was the fool after all...and things would only get better from here.

"And I don't love you anymore..."

She had chosen this song initially just to be spiteful, but singing it in front of an audience made those words real for her, and her head abuzz with the multitude of possibilities with this new boy.

As the song came to a close, she threw up the horns and grinned triumphantly.

She had had enough character development for one log!

She was...amazing. Beautiful. Sexy even. Ever since Panther has returned to Sumabura it was naturally he worried over how Katt and his relationship would have turned out. Yet...it seems like there was nothing to worry about. The precious kitty was still here, that molting parrot was gone out of her and Leon's life. Maybe...maybe she was the one just for him. One to follow till the end. Now that would something to purr to!

To be honest, Shadow wasn't entirely into the more emotional kinds of music, but as long as he had a solid riff to play, he could care less about what the song was about, he just jammed to his best ability.

Other people needed time in the limelight sometimes, after all.

The second song being done, Shadow retreated momentarily to the bottle behind him, and after another swig, shook his head to test how light-headed he was feeling... and it was just enough not to care how he sounded while singing.

He pulled his microphone close to him, closed his eyes, and said, "You know this."

Shadow had been wanting to give singing a shot for months, and although he wasn't totally self-aware anymore, he knew how to put some feeling into his voice. Tonight was gonna be one big outlet for EVERYTHING.

It couldn't be helped.

Katt began playing, still staring at Panther and reveling in herself in all her glory but was snapped out of her own little world when Shadow started singing.

He may have been drunk...but he was good. Much better than she ever would've expected. She'd have to grill him about this later!

On top of that, this song had a really catchy beat so she found herself dancing to it as she played.

Ganondorf decided they should start the next song by then, so he gave Charmeleon a nod so he'd give them the starting noise.
