I haven't updated in a while but I guess if life could be summed up in a few days, it would be in this trip I just got back from.
cut for one of the longest updates I've ever made )

Wow - you're moving. Just - wow. Exciting. I think - are you excited? What would you be doing for your aunt, like law work?

Also - I'm super jealous of you. Because Australia is such a baby little country nothing is awesome or old or anything. Is sad. That court house sounds amazing.

Good to hear from you sweetie, glad you seem to be doing ok. *hugs*

I'm excited and sad at the same time. It is SOOOOOO far from all my friends... like 11 hours. I'll basically be my aunt's secretary: organizing, filing, answering the phone.

The courthouse was BEAUTIFUL and I really wish I'd been brave enough to whip out my phone and take pics.... and I really wish I'd gotten to see a courtroom lol.. but I only saw a teeny tiny mediation room.

Sounds like a pretty sweet gig. Just promise me you'll go out to places/clubs/groups/something and meet people, make some more friends. There's no such thing as too many friends. :)

Well, as you're gonna be living there, you'll get a lot of opportunities to go have a look at it. And take a camera for the likes of us ;)

I won't be going out much for the first little while at least. I just wanna get settled and have my space to miss all my friends for a bit, ya know? And at my aunt's work, there's only her and one other woman so I can't make friends there... it'll be hard.

I will DEFINITELY have a camera on me at all times... one of the things I'll be doing is tearing apart my room to find the fucking hookup for it to the comp because somehow even though I have EVERYTHING ELSE for every electronic I own, I do not have that cord.

Hey you! Haven't heard from you in a while. Glad to see you back on.

Your story about paperwork involved with Real Estate Transactions was why I decided to avoid contract law for a while. One semester was enough. Criminal law is totes more fast paced and, as a bonus, your clients don't usually suffer from tendonitis as a result of the paperwork involved. :D Props to your aunt for doing it though. That takes some serious detail oriented-ness.

Hopefully the asshole learns that being nice does get you places and being an asshole totes doesn't. :D

Sorry to hear about your Great Aunt but I wish her well.

and Re NYC cab drivers-- Who needs roller coasters when you can just take a cab across Brooklyn? ;)

Yeah haha I've been SUPER bad about getting on LJ these days.

I wanted to do criminal law for a long time but I'd never be able to make it through law school XD Props to YOU for getting through it XD But yeah OMG it is SO detail oriented it's crazy!

hahaha I doubt that he will. He was so full of himself. He kept acting like a big shot when he talked about his client. Psh.

Thank you.

AHAHAHAHAHA YES omfg NYC was insane. We were on a diff highway a little ways outside the city and it was SO bumpy that we even said that it felt like a wooden roller coaster XD Oh New York, never change XD
