Wow - you're moving. Just - wow. Exciting. I think - are you excited? What would you be doing for your aunt, like law work?
Also - I'm super jealous of you. Because Australia is such a baby little country nothing is awesome or old or anything. Is sad. That court house sounds amazing.
Good to hear from you sweetie, glad you seem to be doing ok. *hugs*
I'm excited and sad at the same time. It is SOOOOOO far from all my friends... like 11 hours. I'll basically be my aunt's secretary: organizing, filing, answering the phone.
The courthouse was BEAUTIFUL and I really wish I'd been brave enough to whip out my phone and take pics.... and I really wish I'd gotten to see a courtroom lol.. but I only saw a teeny tiny mediation room.
Sounds like a pretty sweet gig. Just promise me you'll go out to places/clubs/groups/something and meet people, make some more friends. There's no such thing as too many friends. :)
Well, as you're gonna be living there, you'll get a lot of opportunities to go have a look at it. And take a camera for the likes of us ;)
I won't be going out much for the first little while at least. I just wanna get settled and have my space to miss all my friends for a bit, ya know? And at my aunt's work, there's only her and one other woman so I can't make friends there... it'll be hard.
I will DEFINITELY have a camera on me at all times... one of the things I'll be doing is tearing apart my room to find the fucking hookup for it to the comp because somehow even though I have EVERYTHING ELSE for every electronic I own, I do not have that cord.
Yeah, I know - space is good to a point. I'm not saying go full on clubbing or whatever the night you get there. But...idk, look around, see what appeals to your interests, join...dancing lessons, or a book club, a bowling league for all I care. Just...at some point, make sure you actively do something to meet people, because - like you said - it'll be hard to meet people.
Awesome! - do any of your other cords work as substitution or something. Like - I can use the cord for my usb dock for my phone and my old camera...idk about your camera though...?
Sorry if I sound a little pushy. I had a similar problem when I started uni. All my old friends were busy, and I don't have enough contact hours to make new ones easily. So - yeah, my psychologist is pushing me to join things hand what have you... it seems to be working.
