peaceful watch
he lays groggily staring into the nothingness, alone on the sofa. his eyes blink, but only to keep them from drying out. he stirs for a moment, stretches out his limbs and then returns to blank staring out the window, and then lets out a loud and almost gruntful sigh. you ask him what's wrong and he ignores you. you sit down beside him and he just begins to breathe louder, and more quickly. You've just made his day, and even more so when you begin to rub his tummy. the "he" is none other than human's best friend and companion, a dog... a faithful and brave protector of his humans and his house...
