first day of summer
today it's so hot.
well, not really when putting it into perspective, but hot for san francisco.
tank top weather.
i just called ll and said "what are you doing?" and he said "sweating in san jose!". it's always hot there and probably much more so today.
after work i think i am going to go swimming at one of the only outdoor city pools and swim laps. too bad we don't know anyone with access to a hotel pool.
the weekend came and went so fast that i didn't have any time to do much. however, we got a new roomate and that is good. she speaks fluent mandarin, so ts now has a buddy to practice her skills with. also, she currently works at mother jones as an intern. funny small world.
that was probably the biggest accomplishment. that, and ts & i went to ikea and bought a shelf and some new water glasses. the shelf still hasn't left the box and the glasses are still sitting on the table. oh well.
on lunch break i dropped over $20 at whole foods somehow. i only bought a small amount of bulk granola, a large container of yogurt and a kombucha....oh and a $12 candle as the cashier reminded me. i am excited though about my candle becuase it's a mini version of the candle that gt gave me when visiting last year. nostalgia! tahitian gardenia and i have been looking for this one forever and finally found it, just in a smaller version. my coworker made me let her smell it twice. and it was the last one hoorah!
we (ll, ts & i) have all become obsessed with a korean drama mini series called "the phoenix". i don't know how we even started watching it in the first place, but now we are all hooked...good thing there is subtitles. i think only one episode left and it's not on until next week! hm.
tonight finally hanging out with jj since his abrupt departure from the residence. i get to see the new place and i think they are making me dinner.
i think i might go raid my coworker's stash of soy ice cream in the freezer.
