Another weird day.
Found out this morning about two deaths back home. One was a guy I have known since elementary school who was riding his bicycle to work and was hit by a drunk driver. The drunk driver left the scene and returned an hour later. She was so drunk she couldn't stand or tell the officers her name. She had two previous DUI's. This makes me SO ANGRY. And my heart is broken for Michael's family. He was such a nice, soft spoken guy. His mom volunteers at my mom's school and his parents live down the street from mine. So, as my parents are in Maine on their 30th anniversary trip, I called mom to see if she had heard the news. She had. It happened last week after all. She didn't want to tell me because of the stress I was under from my job when it happened.
She then proceeded to tell me that my dad got a call on Monday night. One of my high school teachers died on Monday. He was also a friend of my dad's. He was trimming a tree when his chainsaw slipped, cutting his safety line. He fell. Tragic. He was very well liked by the students.
So, it was hard to concentrate at work. I then proceeded to get a bloody nose for the third day in a row. Dying a slow slow death..from nosebleeds and stress.
