It seems the Editorial of the Daily Prophet's accepting drivel nowadays. I did aspire to become a writer sometime in my youth. Here's my own. At least I had the decency to write it on my own scroll. You know, the place you are supposed to write your own opinions.

I do not know why I am so hated and feared. I didn’t do anything wrong. I was just sorted into Slytherin.

Why do you stare at us on the streets? Why did you call us names during school? Why do you look down at us? Why do you cringe when we marry your sons or daughters? Why do you assume that since our friends back in Hogwarts all turned out to be the biggest bunch of crooks, thieves, liars, and murderers of this generation that I'm the same way?
There is the notion that we’re somehow evil. There is terror in your hearts that we are better than you. You hope and you pray that we’ll stay far away from your world, even though we have done naught to deserve that fear.
You blame the deterioration of society on us when you have no one to blame but yourselves. But who can we blame when one of us is brutally murdered?
This fear that has gripped the sensible lot of you is misdirected. You should not fear us. You should fear the ones of you that are looking to stir up trouble. The ones who seek to destroy us in the empty name of justice. You are the ones tearing this country apart looking for cause, not us.
If we are pureblooded wizards, then we are definitely mass murderers. Are we not humans like you too? Do we not bleed if you prick us? How does the rest of the world justify its silence? You take over our names, you take over our lives, you infiltrate our homes and now, we are to be punished for being who we are? Yes, you are the majority, does that give you the right to take away what was originally ours? You infiltrate our Ministry, you slander our press, you lie about the state of affairs.
Even now, there is prejudice in your eyes.
Do not fear the purebloods. For we have coexisted peacefully with you for centuries. Wizards and Witches of the United Kingdom, fear the men and women looking to slaughter innocents!
Yes, we fear the nameless terrors. We fear death itself. Who would not, in the face of such irresponsible acts? Failure to comply to your wishes, failure to choose a side, the side you term is the 'right' one, the crusade of justice, does it warrant death? Does it warrant verbal abuse and hatred? IS it wrong to want peace for our families and friends?
Wise up, my friends, let not yourselves be fooled by those who proclaim themselves righteous. Let not yourselves be coerced into sacrificing the lives of your family and friends, all for the sake of their misjudged 'grievances' and their pride.
