Guests over for dinner tonight, which was awesome. I'm terrible at remembering to socialize, and as a result, I feel like a lot of my social skills have gotten mighty rusty. I really need to remember that I have a couple good friends that live in town now, who keep fairly regular schedules, and we should remember to get together more often. This ( Read more... )

... that's hardly an exaggeration 'tall. I mean, when I was LARPing in State College and thus standing around the HUB in a suit, I couldn't have a complete cigarette outside before being mistaken for Penn...

I suppose I could work on some really insulting or offensive magic tricks to go with it... but I left my copy of Cruel Trick for Dear Friends at home. And you can't do the Cut-and-restored-snake trick if you don't own a snake.

Hrm. Uhh...... the Mayor from Nightmare Before Christmas? I can totally see you lamenting the fact that elected officials can not make decisions by themselves.

And you'd get to wear a cool hat.

Let me think on this today. I broke rank last year and put on my LA County Coroner's scrubs and lanyard and did some really rank makeup and wore a stethoscope. All the guys at work in the shop were teasing me about playing nurse until the one guy noticed what the scrubs said. Then he started laughing so hard he almost fell over.

This year we are doing a murder mystery. I am the vicar's wife. I thought Chris was going to wet himself when he heard that.

Well, it's simple enough to put on a black tie, white shirt, slack and a trenchcoat. I have no objection to always having a drink in one hand, and a cigarette in the other. But the Sting-style short blonde hair and trail of dead friends would be kind of hard to pull off without a lot of major life changes... ;)

Y'know, I've always liked Destruction, a whole lot. Problem is, I'd be so tempted to do up the old armored version, with the Brian Blessed Beard and all...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks I'm like him, though. And not just because I enjoy smashing things!

Hmm. I haven't asked. I think it would be, but I don't know what the reaction would be around the complex if I went out to smoke, etc.
