Random update
Guests over for dinner tonight, which was awesome. I'm terrible at remembering to socialize, and as a result, I feel like a lot of my social skills have gotten mighty rusty. I really need to remember that I have a couple good friends that live in town now, who keep fairly regular schedules, and we should remember to get together more often. This then would also provide the impetus to start dragging other friends from the surrounding area in as well. This might perhaps in turn lead me back into being the charming young man I was in college.
The bat kitty toys I mentioned recently (and yes, there's two, I was trying a different method the second time around, but didn't bother to get photos) have been handed over to the proper authorities. There was much excellent praise, and as I am an attention whore, this was lovely.
There are plans to attend a kickin' party for Halloween, but all my ideas for costumes beyond "Put on period garb" tend to be elaborate to the point of infeasibility by the time I remember I should make a costume, or for a single wear.
So, I turn to you, internets. The theoretical theme is "an exaggerated version of who you are", but all options are open.
