So, pending a review of Pennsylvania tax codes, it seems I should open an Etsy shop. This means I need to think up a name for said shop.
This is a brick wall. I haven't a clue what to call it. I'm tempted to summarize what I do, but it's hard to think of a catchy name.
See, I'm crafty, sure. But my crafts seem to be of a very specific type - the kind you can quantify. I tend to think of it as Pixelated/Discrete Art.
I did Celtic knotwork designs. That's math. Trust me. Chains are all about spine count, stitch depth, draw vs creation diameters. Crochet is a series of discrete stitches of varying values. Pretty much everything I do can be written down as an algorithm and reproduced. The art is just in coming up with new patterns. I used to do ceramics, and I could handle throwing pottery on the wheel - that seems to be the exception to the rule.
At any rate, I'm having a hard time coming up with a name for a shop that would cover the kinds of things I want to make. I can't even think of one for just the crochet, or just the jewelry. And names have power. So even more than tax codes, which I can probably look up, this gives me pause. Usually I have a way with words. Here, less so.
