I'm cooking spanish food at the moment. Working with salt cod for the first time. Soaked it over night and I'm about to poach it in milk with spring onions. I'm making these little potato fish cakes that get fried up in olive oil and served with Aioli sauce. I hope they are worth the time put into making them! I don't know how anyone ever got anything done back when everyone was growing, harvesting, and preparing their own food. Probably why we haven't invented flying cars yet.
