Boston is supposed to get pounded tonight and tomorrow. 14 inches was the last forecast I heard. It should make me cringe, but mostly I'm so excited for the first big snow of the season that I can't stop grinning.
I'm back at my parent's house (as I have been for the last three weekends) to prep for the big party. J and Mo are up from Providence, because they're spending Christmas in New York with her family. I know she still has another six weeks to go, but she's enormous. She sneezed earlier, and I was scared the baby was just going to pop out onto the floor. They still don't know the sex of the baby yet.
I got my Christmas shopping done today, and while I was at Target I decided to splurge and buy Love Actually. My original copy disappeared when I moved back to Boston from Minnesota, and I've missed it terribly. It's nice to have it back--I think I'm going to watch it tonight.
One of my friends who works at the Symphony scored us two sets of tickets to the Pops. One is for next Tuesday, which will be a wonderful way to start vacation. The other set of tickets is for New Year's Eve show (!!!!) which is featuring Amanda Fucking Palmer (!!!!!!!!!!!). Even better? Neil Gaiman is going to be there, and they're talking about him maybe doing a reading (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). It's going to be a very fun night.
Alright, I'm going to get back to cooking. This is the last hot app that I have to make before the party, so we're in pretty good shape this year.
