my speech = pwnage

Jan 28, 2005 22:52

It's the weekend. My parents are leaving for minneapolis (and then jamaica) tommorow sometime. My grandparents are here watching me (shouldn't be too hard to fool them ;) Good has come out of bad. My friend dustin is coming back to iowa for a week to attend the funeral of his grandfather. AHHH one more day closer to my guitar. its gonna be soooo awesome jammin with dustin (that is if he can get his guitar ready in time). I gave my speech today. I was nervous as hell givin it like my hands were shaking . I forgot to include some of the parts that I had in my written copy. but that is attributed to the nervousness. ill outline how my speech went (not actually an outline but whatever)
I started out with the line "my pet peeve is self-rightoues people" at which I got a couple nods of agreement from the back row. then I went on to say "...and nowhere can these people be found in higher concentration than in the church" this is when a few of the more religious christians in the class gasped with surprise/horror. that put a smile on my face. there is nothing I like more than seeing that look of shock on someones face as if you had just slapped them. lol.
after that everything went smoothly. at the end Mr. kapelski said to me "jon, you kind of generalized a whole religion as being that way" to which I said "all the christians I have met have the air of self-rightouesness about their neck like a halo choking them to death" ok not really what I actually said was "that is how every christian i have met has come off being like" it would have been serious pwnage if i had said that first one lol.
I was like the only one who gave a speech of actually substance. everyone else did pet peeves like bad drivers, people talking in the movies, and other stupid stuff like that (exception being alex who did his on the decline of modern music (for my opinion see earlier entries)) I am over all pleased with my speech. I better get top speaker. otherwise i cant go on. lol.

I leave you with this closing thought:

All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration.
We are all one conscienceness experiencing itself subjectively.
There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we are an imagination of ourselves.

and here's Tom with the weather.

late.
