Update full of fail...
Hey, I have been putting off this post for a bit because I was waiting so I would know what to post. First off Ill post about Emerald City Comic Con.
ECCC: Was pretty cool, I plan on doing it again next year hopefully with a better set up. may be in the exhibitor area next time. Met lots of cool people, some nice friends stopped by and it was nice to be next to friends, that always makes a show more fun.
Misty and Jeremy stayed with us for the show and they came over a few days early so we could go do touristy stuff. Lets see, we went to Pike Place, an insect zoo, the Conservatory which I always love, the Cemetery near that which is where Bruce and Brandon Lee are buried, The underground red light tour, Uwajimaya and oh also the Asian museum which was really cool! We may have done more but I cant remember at the moment because I am very preoccupied at the moment....
Now the fail...The very night that Misty and Jeremy got to our house my computer crashed. Major hard-drive failure =( We are trying to recover as much as we can right now with this software. It seems to be working pretty well but I have lost lots of files. I havent gotten to my hard copys or the print files yet but from what I have recovered so far I am not very hopefull that I will recover everything. I have seen a lot of corrupted files, files that are half scrambled :/ Anyways I had my files seperated on different partitions or something like that so the next scan will have most of the important stuff, dont know how long it will take to scan. The first scan took 80 hours about.....we are starting to think there might have been a virus, I dont know...So I am pretty much shut down for online sales at the moment which really sucks because I need to make money to pay bills so I am pretty stressed out. Flash has built me a new computer but then we had an old OEM version of Windows for it and microsoft wont verify it since it was supposed to be on only whatever computer that it originally came with....So now we are waiting on a new windows OEM for this comuter then I can get back up and limping along. So this is why I havent posted yet. I am doing everything I can and working as fast as I can to get back to work online.
The one good thing I have going for me right now is that I am working on having an art show down here in Renton end of next month so since I cant really do anything else I am working on paintings for that. Ill post more about that when I get more info, definite dates etc.
Well Im tired. I sifted through thousands of files today and now I dont want to be on the computer anymore. I started a small painting this morning so I think Ill go finish it and then veg for the rest of the evening. I think I need an asprin to go with my screwdriver to, I have had a headache for like two weeks straight. the best way to describe how I have felt since this happened is like a fist, my whole body feels like a fist and I am constantly catching myself grinding my teeth :/ If there are typos in this post I dont care, Im on my mini laptop and typing on this sucks...Hopefully Ill be back with good news in a few days.
