    I've been busy lately.  My ear infection started clearing up after a couple days' worth of antibiotics; when I went back to work I tested to get into the software division there.  I was accepted, went through two more weeks of training, and finished at the top of my class.  I went in yesterday from 11AM to 3PM to help with callbacks and get a ( Read more... )

    My left ear hurts like a son of a bitch.  I can't hear out of it and it spasms every few minutes, causing excruciating pain all the way down into my jaw.  I didn't get any sleep last night because of it, and I ended up calling in sick to work today.  I should have a prescription waiting for me at Walgreens though, so I guess I need to go out ( Read more... )

    Me and this morning shit still aren't getting along so well.  First day of work went pretty decently though.  I think I'll be able to get Friday off.  Training is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM now.  I'm contemplating going straight to bed when I get home. -_-

    Got a call from Brother today confirming that I am in fact still employed, which means that both my background check and drug test were fine.  Training starts Monday at 8:00 AM.  I daresay the potential of not being poor any more excites me.  Going shopping with my stepmom over the weekend to replace MUS-era khakis and polo shirts.  Still ( Read more... )

And to think I was in the process of writing some horribly depressing post about how my life was a failure.  It's certainly not glamorous work, but at least now I can be a failure and afford nice things once in a while. :D

    I am angry at my job.  I do not like being prepared to do one thing (install outdoor speakers at a house with Andy) via our calendar, having the schedule changed overnight while I sleep, and subsequently told that I need to be somewhere else (clean projectors at CBHS) a couple hours beforehand because "it will look good" since they had some ( Read more... )

    It sounds like freezing rain is starting in now and there's a Severe Weather Alert in effect for Memphis.  Nobody wants anything like the last ice storm to happen again, but if we're particularly unlucky then I'll probably be in the dark for a while.  If the lights are on in the morning then I'll have breakfast with my dad instead.  I vote "yes ( Read more... )
