Okay, so PEOPLE, if you are just stumbling here for the first time since NCIS aired, yes, I made that post already. Go read it.
If not here for NCIS, then don't bother. Obviously. :p
I have episodal squeals for "Release" and "Sunshine Days" under the cut. Ah, yes, the joys of season 9 X-Files.

Twice with the aha's. )

Oh my God, John's theme is THE most heartbreaking piece of music I've heard on this show.
I make entirely too much fun of Brad, but he just CANNOT be taken seriously. I mean, come on.
Yes he can! He's my boy. I see him as Skinner gone Bearaucratic Dark Side.
The scene w/ Oliver/Anthony & Dr. Reeds is amazing. I am crying.
I can't watch this episode without yelling, OMG HENRY GALE (the actor who plays Oliver is also the bad guy on LOST).
And who else thinks John & Monica totally slept together between "Release" & "Sunshine Days"?????
Ummm, I actually haven't given it any thought. Did the writers or Carter say anything about it?

Heh. Someone pointed out on tv.com that "Release" is the last episode we see Follmer in and that he probably got in trouble or something...Interesting. I hadn't thought about it.
Yeah, I've heard as much. I don't watch Lost, so I wouldn't really make that connection.
No, it's just me being a super fangirl. :p But I'm like, seriously, there was all that hinting that if he could just let go of Luke, then he'd be able to move on, and come on, they seemed really overly cheerful in "Sunshine Days." I mean, it's a lighthearted episode in the first place, but really. And then I want to think there's a scene in "The Truth" where Monica is like at John's house in the middle of the night or something weird like that. But I'm not sure about that.

And the beauty part of "Sunshine Days" is that it is so corny, and yet it totally works..

You're so right. It's just a corny episode, but it balances out the super angst that is the rest of the season. Oy.
And do you know what picture I was going to post?? I have this behind the scenes pic of a few cast members (Amy & Richard among them) and some guest stars posing in "Amy's chambers," and the best part of the pic? Richard is sitting in "Judge Gray's" chair, and Amy is totally sitting on his lap. I was so annoyed that I couldn't get it to upload. Roar. Have you seen that photo before?
But it's okay b/c I'm still writing my essay (seriously - it's almost 1200 words already and I'm only to "The Wee Hours" for episodes - oy) and it's super fun and I get to be a major fangirl. And "Little Bombs" by Aimee Mann is on. And it's 4:05 AM and I probably am not going to sleep at all, just b/c.

Exactly. It's like, "Yeah, we know this has been a super angsty 2 seasons, but the show is over anyways, so let's do something so completely fluffy that you all die from sugary dripper comas. Maybe you won't notice how much the next 2 episodes suck!?"
Well, okay, so I liked the MSR in the Truth, but not much else..
No way! I've never seen that pic before. Do try to upload it again.

But "The Truth..." I have many issues with that episode, namely that we have NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT HAPPENED TO DOGGETT & REYES! Are they still alive?? Are they dead? We don't know!
It probably won't let me. *howls* I shall try uploading to Multiply or something so you can see it. :)
And speaking of MSR, guess what song just randomly came on my media player? That's right, "The Sky Is Broken" by Moby. Of course.

OMG they were soooo doin' it by the time Sunshine Days rolled around, hee. How else do you explain the giddiness of the ep. I love it, and the end there-- man, total fangirl squee material, lol.
