Happy 2013 everyone! I hope everyone had a lovely evening last night and celebrated the impending New Year in whatever way makes you the most cozy and happy.

First of all, $45.90 is a lot to pay for a fresh rabbit (NOTE: Skinned and butchered rabbit pictured, prepared for cooking).

Second, who orders fresh milk from Amazon.com? What if they don't have Amazon Prime? Gross!

Third ... Amazon apparently thinks I am the Unabomber. Which is, you know, totally judgey. I expect that Amazon culls information from your searches and purchases and makes recommendations to you for future purchases based on what you've already bought. The whole "Customers who viewed this item also viewed" section of an Amazon item proves that spyware abounds. As you all know, I read a lot of books on mental health and mental illness; I also recently had the opportunity to peruse survival items because I'm building an emergency kit to keep in my car in case we were to have something happen or get caught up in a blizzard or whatever. It's totally common here to keep an emergency kit in one's car. Mental health books + survival gear = Unabomber. Under the cut are the items Amazon recommended for me -- "If you liked this, you might also like product X":

Now, for those of you playing the game without the benefit of the image for whatever reason, let me reiterate what Amazon has recommended for me as products that I might enjoy:

- Whole Milk
- the CD Looking for the Best of David Hasselhoff
- Uranium Ore
- Bic pens
- a book entitled 2009-2014 Outlook for Wooden Toilet Seats in Greater China
- a UFO detector
- a 1 ounce bottle of white face paint with a disturbing model on the package
- a book entitled How to Avoid Huge Ships
- two other brands of butchered and skinned rabbits

If you think I'm making this up, please check out the image under the cut -- I am totally not.

David Hasselhoff? And why not Bic for Her?

Looks like it's going to be another crazy, crazy year! w00t!
