Author's notes: I really wanted to continue, but I felt that to do so would cheapen the moment. Whatever is going on between Draco and Pansy is for you, the reader to decide. In my mind, this takes place sometime during their 6th year.

Pansy silently slipped out of the nearly empty common room.
She walked across the grounds, rain soaking through her robes, mixing with the tears running down her cheeks.
Lightning flashed overhead, causing her heart to skip a beat, but she walked on.
Near the edge of the lake, she stopped, sitting, tucking her legs beneath her.
Everything was falling apart. Minutes, possibly hours, passed by before she felt someone’s presence settling beside her.
Glancing over, she saw Draco’s eyes staring bleakly through the thickly pouring rain.
“I know,” he told her simply as he covered her hand with his own.
