First off, Snape, afterall he is my favorite character. I belive Snape knew what he was getting himself into the whole time, I am pretty sure that Dumbledore knew as well. Snape is my man, I knew from the moment he had taken the vow that he was going to get into some serious trouble and do something awful. I also knew that he has some justification for what he was doing. Severus isn't evil, but he is by no measure good. He is in it to save Harry and Draco, by what ever means needed, and rid the world of Voldermort, and he isn't afried to get his hands dirty. Maybe not the kind of man I would want in real life, but it is the kind I fall for in fiction and I am behind Snape 100%, as I said, he is my man.  In the end, he will play a major role in saving everyone.  Sadly, I belive he will have to die in the process, and may always be hated, mistrusted, and missunderstood.
I am upset about the lack of character developments.  JKR has many interesting characters that could go many places, but she just lets them hang in the background.  The best examples of this are Ginny and Neville, but I would also include Luna, Lupin and Tonks among many others.  Yes she touched on these characters more then normal. But I wish she would add more, I think Ginny would love to be by Harry's side along with Ron and Hermonie, Neville and Luna too.  Maybe they will be in the last novel, but not as much as they should. Ginny was touched by Voldermort, Neville could have been the "Chosen one", both have as much reason as Harry to rid the world of him and should be given the chance.

I could go on for ever, but I wanted to get down my main feelings on the book before I read to much of how others feel.  I can't wait to discuss these points more as people start finishing book 6.

x-posted in my journal and many HP/Snape Journals.  sorry if you see repeats.
