it's getting better all the time
WOOOHHOOOO!
Some good things going on
1. THIS is my new desktop background. YES, please. hockey is a'comin my friends! one month from tomorrow is opening night for the Sabres!
AND in 17 days I'll go to my first game of the year, the Blue Jackets and Predators along with many of my excellent friends for into_outerspace's birthday! WOOOHOOO!
2. I'm going to audition for a play on Thursday! An actual play. In my town! Here's the story- it feels like fate. Today I took my car to Kless Boys. She has been making this weird sorta whine thing for a bit, so it sounds like an issue with a belt. but they replaced the alternator and belts in June. I went in in July and they tightened the belts because it was doing the same thing, so I figure it just needs an adjustment. I go in and tell Andy what's up and he says he'll look at it. I was going to go outside with him, but he seemed to have it under control. So I sat down and started reading a 2 week old newspaper that was on the table. As I usually do, I read the whole thing, and on the last page is an ad for auditions for this new Arcade Area Community Theatre. They are doing a production of A Christmas Story and are having open audtions this Thursday! So I called the number, and the lady called me back and just said to show up. SWEET! I like cold readings much better than memorized monologues and stuff.
I AM SUPER EXCITED! I haven't been in a play in almost 10 years but I feel the craving all the time. I've spoken about it here quite often and I've really been feeling it lately so this is like a dream come true. I don't even have a part and who knows what will happen but I'm flying. It was meant to happen. We get the pape here but I haven't seen one in a while so I missed that completely then just *happen* to see it at Kless Boys when I wasn't going to even stay!? FATE, I tell you, fate. :)
I'll be sure to keep y'all updated on how that goes. WOOOOOT!
This isn't exactly thrilling news, but I bought a bluetooth headset for my phone today. I just got this phone about 2 months ago and it has a regular headset jack and bluetooth capability. But I had just bought a new headset for my old phone so I wanted to use that one till it broke or soemthing then shell out the $$ for a bluetooth. BUT the headset jack suddenly doesn't work right anymore so here I am having to buy a bluetooth. Oh well now it's done. I hope I don't hate it!
Oh and I Need a name for my fantasy hockey team. My one team is the RedRogues and that's cool but i have another team that needs a name. So far, here's what I have:
Face First Into the Boards (the name of my hockey blog, which is cool since the people I'm playing with are mostly fellow blogger- plus it makes me sound tough!
Burying the Biscuit (a bit of hockey terminology that means to score goals, for those of you unfamiliar)
or
Look at me, I'm Rick Nash (which is some ridiculousness from my college days, but funny and random)
What do y'all think? Any ideas? Suggestions? Votes? let me know!
