I don't owe you anything
I dreamed about a Sabre last night- Clarke MacArthur! LOL The dream was totally weird and kinda messed up though. I guess it wasn't so surprising considering I was totally drooling over him during and after last night's game.. they interviewed him and it was sooo frickin cute! It bugs me that it's not on the Sabres website though. grrr.
Tomorrow night is Sabres/Devils Round 3. The last 2 games ended 2-1 in a shootout, I'd really LOVE for the Sabres to win and lots of guys to score! (I have 3 Sabres and 4 Devils on my fantasty team and neither goalie, so they can just start the barrage) The Sabres desperately need a win. This is getting ridiculous. And they aren't even playing poorly, that's the worst part. We will see tomorrow. Exfept that I probably can't even watch the game because we're having a spaghetti dinner at church and I'm helping Fr. with the prep. The dinner is a 6 so maybe I can escape directly afterward and come home for the game.. since I'm helping to cook, maybe someone else can clean? Either way, I'll just set the dvr so I can watch it later.
In related news, what is wrong with Roy!? he left Sunday's game with a shoulder injury. Didn't see anything happen and they barely mentioned it. He missed the next 2 games and some practices. He didn't practice with the team today but did skate. And he is NOT good to go for tomorrow. But no one is talking about it. Usually with an injury to a top player, the team will give a little info/prognosis on return, etc. Nope, they just say that he's out. It freaks me out like they're hiding something. I want my boy back dangit.
I really think I cursed him. See, it's like this. I start to like a player and (if it's the minors, Some of them make the all-star team then) he gets injured, called up or traded. Let's view some examples:
Pavel Bure: Started to follow his career during the 1994 playoffs. Next season postponed due to lockout. He played that year but missed almost all of the next one due to a knee injury. It took a little while but it happened.
Preston Mizzi- Dayton Bombers rookie in 01-02. Caught my eye November-ish. January named to the all-star team. Later gets the call up to Syracuse and stays there for the rest of the season.
Trevor Ettinger- Started liking Etti in January. A week later he was in Syracuse and stayed there until an injury sent him back to us.
Andrew Ianiero- Liked him in November, he was made an all-star in January and no longer a Bomber by February.
Matt Craig- (even though he was a supremo asshole) liked him from the start of season, made the all-star team, got the call up to Manitoba. (by that point it was good riddance, but still, he wasn't around)
Derek Roy: I've enjoyed him since his first year with buffalo but not really been properly paying attention to him until this year. He's having a decent time, then I get his jersey for Christmas, and boom, he's injured.
I think only Marty Brodeur escaped the fate of being my favorite player. He's also the only one of my boys to win a Championship...
So there ya have it. Don't tell me who your favorite player is, I might jinx him too. ;/
