Make the right decision, insist on Carubba Collision

A few things today..

1) Happy Birthday to Andrew Ianiero. (not too bad of a pic this year, usually his mug shots are much worse!) He was one of my old Bomber boys and there is still some random part of me that is slightly in love with him. Don't know why but there it is. He is 27 today. I really need to find the radio interview I did with him, it was totally great. And I need to have all of my interviews (it was only 3 nights) put on to cds somehow... Izey told me that his favorite band is the Counting Crows.. and I had to wonder if he was at the show in Buffalo this summer.. he is from Hamilton, ON and he probably still spends summers there so it was actually possible that he was there. And that was cool.

2) Speaking of the Counting Crows, I have been really into them lately. Their new album should be out soon. They did some new songs from it this summer and they were really great, I'll have to check on the release date.. yay!

3) The Sabres lost. Again. In a shootout. Again. This is insane! Roy did not play. Again. :( In their defence though it was a solid game. They played very well against a superior team. I hate Ottawa but they are good this year. So that's a good sign. The Sabres played a tough, nasty, in your face game and that is very good to see. They came back from a 2-0 defecit to tie it and then took the shootout to 6 rounds. SO it was a noble loss. And they are missing several regulars so there is that as well. I'm just glad there is still time.. but they are playing like a team that wants to win so that's a very good thing.

4) I'm developing a small crush on Clarke MacArthur of the Sabres/Amerks. He is just adorable and he scores timely goals. :) He's playing very well as a Sabre, but perhaps if he gets sent back to Rochester, I'll try to go to a game.. we'll see.

5) This feels like a broken record because everyone is talking about it, but the weather has been a bit odd for the last few days. It was in the 60s on Monday and Tuesday- madness! it cooled off quite a bit yesterday and today but it is still RAINING and not snowing! WTF>? However, it did this same thing last year on Jan 6 and snowed a bunch by the 10th so.. whatev. The bad thing is that we'll end up getting Lake Effect snow until February or March this year again which SUCKS. (I like snow, but I hate driving in it) oy. +The weirdest part is that it FEELS like spring and my mind keeps forgetting that it's January. I just expect to be in playoffs mode (though i'm glad it's not playoffs yet cuz the Sabres wouldn't be in) and I expect to hear the frogs chirping in the pond and it's whacking out my brain...

6) I had a cool dream the other night about the Sabres, namely Paul Gaustad, Jason Pominville, and Derek Roy. Yeah it was fun, I was at some dinner thing and Roy and Pommer were at my table, but Gaustad was wandering around being all smiley and that was hot. And Pominville sat next to me and apologized for being left-handed and bumping into my elbows as we ate. (I don't know if he's a lefty or not, I've got to look that up, it'd be freaky if he was, eh?) and Royzie was talking about some bad pic of himself and Pommer (i can imagine a few LOL) and it was just a sweet dream. Unfortunatly it was happening as I was having to wake up. I managed to squeeze out a few extra minutes (usually if I wake up in the middle of a dream I can't get it back but this time it worked) but then it started getting away and I REALLY had to getup so wah. It was fun though. I love cool dreams!

7) I need to go to bed. I went to sleep last night with a death headache (after having taken ibuprofen) and woke up with the same headache. I took more medicine, it didn't really help= and then spent most of the morning dozing/zoned out on the couch while the babies watched Mary Poppins. (Q and the big boys had music lessons and such in town so it was me and the littles) Luckily they cooperated and I felt at least moderately human byt he time the movie was over, but the headache ddin't actually leave me until about 1 pm or so. It was very uncool and I do not wish to re-live it anytime soon.

So... on that note, goodnight all. Hope everyone is doing well.
