done and done

I have now officially filed all of my taxes for the year. I'm getting a measly federal return but something is better than nothing so I won't complain too much. And I owe the state of NY $10- don't ask me how, I only lived here for 1/2 a year but I am getting a refund from Utah. However, I'm getting gypped hardcore there because I have to claim all the money I made, not just what I made in Utah and then there's a chart so I only pay a percentage of the total blah blah blah and I'm getting a refund but it would be like doubled if I didn't have to claim what I made in NY. GHETTO. Taxes suck. the system is whacked out.

right so anyway. I applied for the CHL job fair. Done and done. Now we wait and see if they even want me to attend. woo. it's April 15, in Dallas. according to the listing, job offers will be given that day. like whoa, those peeps don't mess around.

which reminds me, I had a message on my phone from a guy looking for a reference for my friend Rachael. (from Utah) like whoa, I didn't think anyone actually called references. LOL I mean all mine are legit and stuff but it's funny. I'll have to call him back tomorrow.

nothing else fun to talk about I don't think. It's been a slow coupla days.

Oh yeah wait 'Nee and I are going to Ottawa this weekend! YAY! We plan to skate on the Rideau canal (of course) and check some capital-y things such as the parliament and museums, and we're talking about trying to hop over to Gatineau (so we can say we've been to Quebec LOL) and check out a jr hockey game! It should be a fun time.

Now, I have never been to Ottawa, (contrary to what hello_shadow might think, I don't live there LOL) so, dear readers, does anyone who has been to the great Capital of Canada have any suggestions about things we MUST SEE or DO while we are there? It'll be Friday, Saturday and coming home sometime Sunday so let me know if you have any ideas!

Thanks. :)
