one more day down, everybody has those days
ah yes here we are, one day closer to departure. EEK! no crying tonight though, I'm feeling remarkably stable. good good.
tonight, Q and I went downtown to see this 'choir show' that was being done by this church group from Minnesota- and in the group was a girl whose fam used to live in Buffalo, so they were friends with my sister's family. anyway it was good and stuff.. sometimes I feel so weird being Catholic when I go to these 'Christian' things, because of th little things. Like when they pray, nobody does the sign of the Cross, which is something so deeply ingrained into my life that it strikes me as glarlingly odd... I dunno. It's just different. but cool.
hmm there's a frog being loud outside my window.
we finally found a good Father's Day present for my dad- it's a picture taht we took at Christmas, of just the kids- Quincy, Renee', Me, Brett, Brad and Dani. Everybody looks decent, and we dont have many pics of us with Quin too. So we made it into an 8 x 10 and we're gonna frame it and give it to Dad. wheeee! :) only a week late, LOL but it's cool cuz I'll be home on Sunday so I can just give it to him instead of mailing.
aye well not much else to share I don't think. I'm getting excited but I'm anxious about finding a place to live and stuff. I researched apts online and I found a few places that could work, hopefully one will actually be decent and hopefully it won't take long to getit all set up and stuff. EEK!
hey I realized something random today- I will most likely start actual work on July 5th. That's only significant because when I got my first job, I started work on... JULY 5th! and since this is now going to be my first 'real job'- a.k.a. Job in my 'field', its a bit of a freaky coincidence, non? But I think it's a good sign!
okay I think it's shower time. Then I may be tired enough to sleep. Otherwise, I could always read some more of Traitor's Knot. It's brilliant of course- how could a story about ARITHON not be brilliant? (read the books and you'll understand) but it's the shortest one she's written to date and since we had to wait so long to get it... I'm trying to savor the greatness. heh heh but it's so great that it's very hard to put down.
