Well, life interrupted this meme, so I figured I'd pick up where I left off and hope to finish.
Day 14 - Favorite male character
It just struck me that the majority of the books I read either have a female lead or are historical or based on historical events, therefore making a favorite character of any sort seem strange to me (more like picking my favorite person).
I liked Nick Andros from The Stand by Stephen King, but it's been such a long time since I read that book that no particular reason comes to mind as to why. Probably because he wasn't Stu, who I didn't really care for and cared for less when he became involved with Fran. I really need to read that book again.
More and more I'm falling back on the Harry Potter series (which is the most fresh in my mind), and of that series, my favorite character (male or female) was always Ron Weasley. Maybe I just love an underdog? I do. I know it. Ron was the most average of the trio, but had his own strengths and was good qualities. Of course, he had his flaws, too, but by and large, throughout the books, he grew up. A lot.
