You know how I feel about this whole Denny thing...:-/

I agree that the only thing that would make sense is that this is all in Izzie's head. However, if that's the case, they shouldn't have presented it the way they did.

Because if it's all in Izzie's head, the Denny that Izzie is conversing with and erm...let's not finish that thought...conversing with, hasn't got much to do with the real Denny, it's got to do with how she wants him to be, this abstract dream figure in her head that she just happens to call Denny because he ticked all the boxes and she never got to find out any better. And that isn't a great love story. That's just someone's delusion, and someone's delusion doesn't get to be called a great love story.

They should be saying "Poor Izzie, she is such a romantic/idealist, she is still not over the shock of having her dream snatched away from her and is now living it out, which shows how she losing her grip with reality and becoming very sick".

If THAT was how it was presented, maybe I could buy it. But that's not what the writers are saying. They want us to think it's a great love that defies death and time and reason, and that's just fucking absurd. Not to mention what a great injustice this all is to Alex, who is trying so hard to be there for his girl, and Alex/Izzie, who have so much potential it makes me weep.

Plus, if Izzie is going nuts, that's going to be Alex's second crazy girlfriend in weeks, which is completely needless and really quite sick. But at least with Ava, he wasn't bested by a ghost. This whole Denny ridiculousness would have been a whole lot more bearable if they had just left Alex and Alex/Izzie the fuck out of it.

Sorry babe, I'm just venting, when I came here to comment on your stories. Needless to say, I like your take on things so much better than Shonda's.

Well they could still change things. I, for one, don't give a shit what the writers say. I will see what I want to see, and this makes more sense than what they want.

I'm glad you liked them hun! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

I normally don't listen to what the writers say either- I usually just watch the show and interpret it for myself. But in this case, I wanted to know where the heck this was heading, and if there was any hope for us...and their comments did not help me make sense of the storyline, at all.

However, when it comes to ignoring stuff, I am QUEEN, lol. Once I'm absolutely convinced there's no hope, I'll stop watching and erase this garbage plot from my memory and go back to what I liked.

Until then, I'll keep an eye out for any word that they might have had some sense knocked into them. ;-)

Mmm, mmm, don't want to get my hopes up, but I love how Gizzie seems to have been erased from the characters' memories...
