I've read a lot of fics on the subject of the break up, or whatever it was, but you're the first person who alluded to things not working out for them. I love my Meredith/Derek, but I like the different perspective. It's almost more realistic, in a way, for them to be completely over and not get their stuff together. Plus I find the dynamic of them having to pick up the pieces of their lives and move on without one another to be interesting. So, good job for being original and as always I love your writing. Your characterization is always spot on. :)

The difference in endings for the two of them may have something to do with me being one of the few people AGAINST Meredith/Derek...at least the way they've done it on the show. I think they have broken them up and tried to put them back together so many times that there has just got to be an end. Meredith is just not someone who's going to get her shit together just yet.

Oh, Meredith... I didn't think Derek will be with Rose (even before that spoiler, but Mer is not a kind of person, who believes in herself dream. She needs a men, who will be with her always, who will be love he enough desperately to be with her when she's dark & twisty ale hate whole world. I understand that. But I don't know Derek is enough strong for that.
I like Meredith & Derek together, specially now, when Addison is gone. Derek will be unhappy in this relationship, I know that, but... It's his thing - being unhappy.

Grey's Anatomy was my prime fandom for a very log time, you know? And I hate 4. season because It's not my GA anymore.

I was probably the only person who wasn't really crazy about Meredith/Derek, even back at the beginning. But I love Meredith, I love how dark and twisty she is, and this is part of that. This relationship is a major part of that. So this had to be written.

I lost a lot of faith in this show after Season 3, tbh, but it isn't getting back to the show I used to love.
