Summary: He thinks it has something to do with the Grey sisters.

George thinks it has something to do with the Grey sisters.

And depending on Meredith’s mood, the day, and very possibly the position of the earth in relation to sun with the way she jumps back and forth, even so much as breathing the phrase ‘the Grey sisters’ could set her off on some tangent. Or, alternately it could put her in a good mood, if the whole cooking eggs for the sister she, not a week ago, claimed she wished she never had is anything to go on.

But with this unexpected, not to mention badly timed, visit from his mother, came the realization that the person he is now, the guy who cheats on his wife, who doesn’t talk to his family, is so far from the person he was when he walked into Seattle Grace that it’s impossible to reconcile the two.

And something needs to be done about that because, really for the first time in his life, George doesn’t like the person he is.

What’s worse, his father probably wouldn’t like that person either. And that cuts deeper than any incision he’s ever made.

So he’s got to get out of that house. He has to get out of that house with Izzie, with Meredith, with all those things that remind him of the past year.

He’s not sure why Lexie is the first person he makes mention of that to. He’s not sure where the thought of moving in with her even came from. But he said it, he brought it up to her, and even though he doesn’t have to follow through, he wants to.

He sees the same things in Lexie that drew him to Meredith a year ago, and that may not be good, that may not be healthy, but that has to mean something. Because he wants to be that person from a year ago. And she makes that person not feel so far away.
