Today sucked.
Josh locked up his knee (again) yesterday. The last time he did it, it popped back into place just as we were getting ready to go to the hospital. That didn't happen this time. I went out last night to a campfire Katie had at her place (mmm S'mores). Josh and I were both going to go, but his knee was still locked up, so he told me to go. I offered to take him to the ER when I got home again, if need be.
When I got home, the knee was still locked up, but Josh was already in bed and said we'd just go tomorrow (today). Mind you, I had plans to work on my Chem lab report all today, but I didn't think a trip to the ER would be too much of a kink.
Today, we woke up around 11, had some breakfast, and headed to the ER. He got some xrays and crutches, and was told to get in touch with an orthopedist, since it was most likely a meniscal tear: a tear in one of the pieces of cartilage surrounding his knee. Mind you, this took just under two hours, so we weren't home again until after 2. Josh took a seat on the couch while I made lunch, cleaned up, and did laundry. I managed to knock out one section of my lab report while waiting for laundry to dry, and we ordered Chinese for dinner. Once I had folded laundry and was done with everything that needed to be done, it was around 7. I had yet to research jack for my report.
Ran into campus to the library to do some research. Managed to finish with all that by 9:30 or so. I also had to water greenhouses at work (something that should have been done during the day, but oh well) so I headed over there to do that real quick (just to say I did it!) Jere came by and helped, too, which was nice of him.
When I got home, Josh's dad had arrived (since I couldn't take Josh to the orthopedist tomorrow, he came up), which meant I spent a good half hour or so just talking with him and Josh... and not doing my report. By the time I start up on my report again, it's at least 10:30 or 11. I'm hoping I'll be done by 2.
10 revised data tables later, and it's nearly 2. I also remember sometime around this point that I have homework due as well. Surprisingly, I don't curse, and it's only because that was how my entire day had seemed to be going.
It's now 4:30. My lab report is done, it only needs to be printed tomorrow morning. My homework is mostly done, however half-assedly. I'm waking up in 2 hours, to be at class by 8.
Tomorrow's going to suck too.
