Tomorrow, June 27th, is National HIV Testing Day. If you're in Philadelphia and want to be tested you should come on out to any one of the bunches of sites doing testing all day and into the night tomorrow. Many sites offer rapid testing so you will get your results back in about 20 minutes. You can also search for testing sites in Philly by ZIP code by going here. Mazzoni is offering walk-in rapid testing from 9am-9pm tomorrow at the Washington West Project (1201 Locust St in Center City). Our testers are awesome and kind and will be nice to you, I swear!
For those of you not in Philly but still in the US, you can still find a testing site near you. You may want to call to see if they have special extended hours tomorrow.
I don't think I need to preach to anyone on my friends list that it's a really good idea to know your status. The test is quick and painless and you feel a lot better just knowing. Go forth and get tested!
