I'm trying to get into a habit of updating my journal a little more frequently, even though I think the minutiae of my life are uninteresting. But I suppose if you don't want to read this, you can scroll on past.

* Packing continues apace. I think we'll still end up frantically shoving things into boxes at the last minute like we always do, but we're trying to minimize that as much as possible. Thanksgiving weekend will be the big push.

* Saundra bought me Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for my birthday, and I started playing it last night. So far, I'm enjoying it, although some of the "full sync" requirements are frustrating as hell. I also plan on trying out the multiplayer, out of curiosity. It'll be the first time I've done anything multiplayer for any game, so I'll have to see how that works out.

* Last night, I watched The Gamers: Dorkness Rising and laughed my freaking ass off. It's cheesy and geeky, but so much fun. RPG in-jokes abound, and anyone who games knows someone who is just like each one of the people in the group. Highly recommended.

* Also watched Moon last night. It was also quite enjoyable, if a bit predictable. I was impressed with Sam Rockwell's acting chops since he was, essentially, the only character in the movie. It's tough to pull something like that off and make it feel like a satisfying movie, but he managed it.

* The Cast the Cards anthology got its first review from Coffee Time Romance, and it was really good. The part specifically about my story says, "So many intense feelings come across within the pages of this story. I could not tear my eyes away from the page as I walked in Jason's shoes for the duration." Which makes me feel really good, as I wasn't sure if my story would resonate for anyone else the way it did for me writing it.

Okay, I guess that's good enough for now. If you do like it when I check in like this, please let me know. It'll give me more encouragement to keep writing.
