(no subject)
last night todd and his wife had us over to their house for dinner. his wife (who's italian) made us homemade lasagna and it was delicious. I also got to play with their two little boys. have I mentioned lately that I miss playing with kids? cuz I do! being around kids makes me so much more easy-going and carefree. maybe that's what why I've been so "uptight" lately. who knows. but anyway, yeah the food was splendid. and then they brought out dessert, which was equally yummy cake. and with the cake they brought out limoncello, which I hadn't tried yet! it actually wasn't too bad, considering it was hard liquor. like I was actually able to sip it like you're supposed to and everything! good times. and they crammed our whole class and his family (so like 15 people) into this teeny tiny kitchen of their's. talk about building community! hehe.
so I'm completely finished with classes for the semester. tomorrow's our "study day" and then comes the onslaught of finals saturday and sunday. most of my school (everyone who's not broke like me) is at the school end-of-the-year banquet right now. the school charged a RIDICULOUS amount of money, so there was no way in heck I was going to shovel out money for it. its really a good thing that I didn't go, in retrospect, because I have somehow fallen a bit behind in studying so tonight will be an excellent chance to catch up! ciao ciao!
