ooooh man!
so last night was FLIPPIN SWEET! our school sponsored a gelato crawl. you know...like a pub crawl, but 10 times better!!! I successfully ate all of my gelato from each gelateria we went to (which was 7!!!). that is a whooooole lot of gelato. I started to feel a bit queasy by the end, but it was sooo worth it! I'll try to list all the flavors I had: nutella, green apple, after eight, bailey's, kiss, tiramisu, mango, pineapple, peach, coconut, cream and cookies, coffee...hmm that's all I can think of, but there are a few more! and I never got the same flavor twice. I am a gelato goddess! hehehe. and I saved all of my cups and spoons as a souvenir. AND we got "Gelato Crawl 2005" t-shirts. sweeeeeeeeeet. what will I do without gelato after next week??? boooo for ice cream. its just not the same.
I am completely finished with two classes now - sculpture and human rights. I had my sculpture critique this morning...he was pretty harsh as usual, but I'm optimistic that I'll get an A. as for human rights, I gave my presentation on sant'egidio this afternoon and todd seemed to appreciate it. I'm afraid the topic wasn't as interesting to my fellow classmates as it was to me. I guess being a daughter of a social worker makes me kind of a nerd when it comes to my fascination with the operations of social service agencies. todd, my human rights professor, reminds me sooo much of my dad. he even travelled to india for a few months like my dad! he and his wife are cooking our class dinner tonight. mmmm homemade italian lasagna! and he has the cutest little kids ever. I miss playing with little kids on a regular basis. okay, that's enough of procrastination...time to get to work!
