seriously.

I just had a job interview at the library here on campus. It went well, except the librarian had no idea who Sylvia Plath was.

What can I say to that. It's like Satan not knowing what Hell is, or me wearing socks that match. It just doesn't make sense, understand? No sense at all, and it should not be. Sylvia Plath, I apologize as you turn over in your grave. But fret not, I shall keep your memory alive by reciting your poetry and possibly tattooing a phrase of yours on this body. Or you know, yeah, just sharing your work with my students when I teach. Either/or.

Dearest Lord, give me patience so I won't blow my lid. Please grant me the wisdom to accept that not everyone reads as much as I do, and that sadly, not everyone appreciates poetry.

Edit:
Random, but I'm listening to The Smiths' "There is a Light (That Never Goes Out)" and I must say, this song breaks my heart, and therefore, ROCKS, because all good music should elicit a response.

Morrissey=brilliance.
