The problem: f..king DC7700 doesn't run Linux.

Unsuccessfull attempts:

• Called HP support: they said that they only support Windows XP/Vista on DC7700
  
• Tried booting with acpi=off: kernel panic
  
• Tried booting with nofb acpi=off noapic nolapic : it works, but extremely slow ( Read more... )
