You know what I hate? When people think they're being clever, and talk about specific spoilers in vague terms, or by only mentioning a single aspect of a particular spoiler (especially in the middle of an otherwise unrelated post, but that's another rant for another day), because... I don't know. Maybe they figure this one little detail won't ( Read more... )

I FEEL YOUR PAN.

We should set up a spoilerphobe community where we can bitch about this stuff without fear of being told we take it all too seriously. *nods*

FUCKING YES! Either you are spoiling and being an asshole, or you are doing spoilercuts. This coy passive aggressive hint BULLSHIT is fucking annoying.

SRSLY. It's not like it's difficult! There's no lengthy process involved, and it's surely easier than deal with pissy spoilerphobes. *sigh*

Word.

And while we're on the subject, it ticks me off when authors put (canon) spoilers in their story summaries. When newsletters link to the post, there's no cut tag, dammit.

I once saw a story summary where the "spoiler" line, instead of saying "spoilers: season one" or "spoilers: episode #12" or whatever, it said "spoilers: just the fact that A and B had an affair that one time".

Big fat word!!

And yes, this year it's ridiculous - surely it's not been so bad previous years? It's only June, for heavens sake, and already I'm having to work out how I can have some form of LJ interaction without getting royally spoiled.

Mind you, nothing quite beats the person who put the spoiler in her spoilercut text!!!! Yeah, really!!!

Actually, no, it was for Grey's Anatomy. Which means more than one person has done that!

What's the emoticon for throwing your hands up in the air and staring in disbelief?
