It's finally here, well not exactly but still. My favorite season of the year! The trees are starting to change, the animals starting to move to warmer climes or starting their courting to give birth in the abundant spring

Ah yes, fall in the Northeast is breathtaking...but holy crap the DEER! Just last Saturday night I was driving a dark road in suburban NJ, and a HUGE buck strolled out in front of my car as casual as can be. Luckily, I was only going 35, 'cause I absolutely would have hit him otherwise. ~ARRGH~
My brother got surrounded by a flock of belligerent turkeys in New Kensington once. They seemed to perceive his jeep as a threat. He called them the "gobbler mob" and admitted to being more intimidated than he should have been LOL
I miss the pheasant, though. Sooo beautiful. They were everywhere in Pgh. when I was a kid, but now, I can't remember the last time I've seen one. Habitat destruction, I guess. :[
Yeah, there are plenty of deer here, though I never saw as many on one day than I did that morning. Glad you were able to miss him. I have heard so many horror stories about what deer do to cars and their drivers.
Last year I saw a nice 10 point buck standing in the middle of a field, his fur around his neck was long too, and it made him look regal. The deer in FL from where I am from originally are so much smaller than the ones up here though.
Lol. That is awesome and a hilarious thing to picture in your head.
I have never seen a pheasant, at least not a living one.
