Pizza and horses

So, I ordered pizza tonight, from Pizza Hut (essay-writing night) and they got EVERYTHING RIGHT! Even my special request for root beer! I am happy. Although, I think I may not have been charged for one of the pizzas. I had one pizza in my online basket, and when I added another one, the price didn't change. I'm okay with that.

This morning I was rudely awakened at 6:30 am by a HORRIBLE CHARLEY HORSE in my right calf. I yelled in pain and massaged it out and stretched it and went back to bed, but even now at 11pm it's still sore and tight. Then about an hour ago I got one in the arch of my left foot. It was the kind you can feel coming, and if you react by tensing up, it goes into a charley horse, and if you react by focusing on relaxing it, you can sometimes avoid it. However, I focused on relaxing it, and it just slowly crept over the edge into being a full-blown charley horse. I don't know what's wrong with me. My whole lower half hurts. I took some ibuprofen and drank some milk and ate some spinach and drank some water (you know, because I read charley horses can come from calcium deficiencies, potassium deficiencies, or dehydration) and I hope it helps. I'd hate to keep getting them. I'm afraid to move too much or be in a weird position or stay still too long for fear of getting another one. I kept thinking, what if I got two at once? They are SO PAINFUL, especially the calf ones! I don't think I've had one that bad since high school track, when I collapsed on the ground in the middle of walking to the track because I got one really badly really suddenly. If it really is that bad, I can look forward to a couple recurrences in the next few days, as happened to me then.

Anyone got some post-charley horse remedies? I just want my right calf to relax a little. I keep doing calf stretches which feel good but don't seem to ultimately relax the muscle at all. It's still super tight.

I should go back to analyzing Beethoven for this essay...
