Stupid stupids.
Last week was fun. I felt important waking up at like 7 every morning to sit in morning madness traffic on the way to work. And everything went by so quickly, and I was doing stuff constantly and getting pleasantly achey muscles because of all the movement. All the filing/sorting mail room stuff felt like one big logic + speed test. It was fun! Unfortunately I was apparently not speedy enough for the likes of those poopheads. Today I asked if I could get an hour off later in the week for an unavoidable doctor's appointment, and their response was "You are a slowpoke, be gone!" So I'm all unemployed again, but at least this time I've got some more bucks in my pockets. (Although not yet. A check is supposed to get mailed to me at some point, and I hope it doesn't take too long.) I just learned everyone's names too. It was pretty sucky, but alas, it's been 7 hours since, now, and I am over it. Lame, though.
On the bright side, the hamster is a complete hoot. I think we named her Newt like in the movie, but who knows. Aliens!. She is a nutball. She poops little halfpoops and then pulls them out with her mouth and disposes of them in all the corners of her terrarium. She also hides all her food alongside her poop. Then she eats her poop. This is supposedly not uncommon for hamsters. Reclaimed nutrients, or some nonsense. She is really cute though. She is also hideous. I have never seen such an ugly face as when she yawns. No real pictures yet. Or rather: too lazy.
We put a coffee cup in there too, green and blue. She likes it a lot, likes climbing in it, peeing in it, rolling around in it, and sitting in it with her head poked out. Cute! Back to the job hunt I go.
Still looking for free things on craigslist too. More furniture. Dressers, tables, beanbags galore! And I think we want a larger couch.
