So I proposed...
It was all very romantic -
Dawn and I (I realize now that unless you've been facebook or myspace stalking me you'll have no clue as to who that is... so check her out on there...) went out with the cast of the show she was in (Sweeny Todd). We went down to Primanti Bros in Cranberry which is right near the theater.
Earlier that day I showed Dawn's best friend Torry the ring, which she proceeded to pester Dawn about all evening before and during the show by saying things like "I know something you don't know" heheh. So Dawn was quite a mess by the time she got out of the show asking me things like "What the hell is this secret between you and Torry?!" and "I don't like secrets". Which I thought was pretty awesome cause I'm a jerk haha.
So we're at Primanti's and Dawn and I order rather large beers. She has to go to the bathroom at one point, (as girls are wont to do...) and I turn to Torry and to her other friends at the table (Joey, Connor, Mia, Shane, etc) and I say "I'm going to propose to Dawn tonight. Here." And of course everyone has a mini-seizure, which cracks me up.
So Dawn comes back and we eat our dinner. I had a corned beef sangwhich and she had a gyro. So my breath was atrocious I'm sure. Finally after we eat Joey and Torry are signaling me to try and see if it's time and I give a nod, tug on my ear, etc to let them know. Everyone pulls out cell phones to take pictures as I turn to Dawn and say "Hey, I need to talk to you about something."
She immediately responds "Did I do something wrong?!"
And I said, "No, of course not."
So she says "Well then what's up?"
And I start into "Well, I've loved you since before we even started dating. And--" and I went on
At which point she starts "Oh my God. You're doing this now?! Oh my GOD, YOU'RE DOING THIS NOW?!"
And I don't remember exactly what I said, I just know that words were spewing forth from my mouth in some semblance of romance. Then I pull out the ring and she screams at the top of her voice. I ask her "Will you marry me" and she says "Oh my God yes" and then jumps into my arms.
Then, she slaps me and says "You son of a bitch!!" because everyone knew for so long before her haha.
