Diane Keaton (my favorite performance of hers)

Further proof that your irrational hatred of Woody Allen is warping your perception of everything.

Actually, the more I think about the ending to Brokeback, the better it seems. Is anyone here fearful of spoilers? Maybe I should just go into it in my own LJ.

Lemme guess: they don't end up together at the end, one/both of them dies? Spoil away. I'm still gonna rent it.

Totally worth the $10 trip to the theater, says me. But anyway, my feelings about the ending have more to do with how the last scene is presented, not a turn of the plot (a plot turn would only be revealed incidentally).

Wow, those lyrics are terrible.

I saw Match Point this weekend, and I loved it!! Although, it did turn me temporarily crazy and paranoid, as Ethan can attest.

And Dunya and Sonia. Razumikhin, Razumikhin...

I was with the movie for the first 1/3 of it (mostly setup), but then I got bored by all of the adultery stuff. I thought he included too much about the mechanics of juggling two women (I feel like I saw every phone call, every lie). And I thought that the movie was pushing you to want him to end up with Nola, which I don't like personally because I always identify with the nice, boring women.

Then, when it turned into a murder story, I thought it was awesome. It's funny how I thought the movie was much better when he was a murderer than when he was an adulterer! And all of the parts with the investigators made me laugh a lot.

Don't forget Sidney Monas!

I didn't like Nola, but I didn't really like his wife either. She was so whiny about the baby thing! I didn't see the murder twist coming at all, and it definitely made the movie awesome.

Sidney Monas 4-eva!

I think you're supposed to feel uncomfortable with Nola... at least after she starts yelling at him a lot. You want her to chill out and shut up more than you him to leave his wife, so you might identify, however uncomfortably, when he "does something" about it.

Not that this will surprise anyone, but the Backstreet Boys have the following terrible lyric in their latest single, "Crawling Back to You":

Girl, I know you're mad
I can't blame you for being mad
